Message from Lewis Kaplan, Director
Five years ago, I had a vision to bring the greatest baroque artists to Portland to perform the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in intimate venues. It has always been about the music! This vision met with extraordinary success from the public, the press, and the artists themselves. The vision continues June 14-21, 2020 with the same artists, the same standards, and the same integrity to the music. The Bach Virtuosi Festival offers Portland residents and visitors what they expect: world class performances of Bach and his contemporaries.
Brilliance. Passion. Community.
“Sharing the stage with Lewis Kaplan was an extraordinary experience for me. The evening was a fusion of ideas and art that was greater than the sum of our individual talents, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.”
