
Praised for her “virtuosic execution” (The Boston Music Intelligencer), Boston-based Mary Cicconetti maintains an active career as a musician on historical and modern oboes. She performs throughout the United States on the Baroque oboe with the Handel and Haydn Society, American Bach Soloists, Boston Baroque, Washington Bach Consort, and the Bloomington Bach Cantata Project.
On modern oboe, Ms. Cicconetti is a member of the Cape Symphony and Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra and frequently appears with the Boston Lyric Opera Orchestra. Additional performances include the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Portland Symphony, and Vista Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Cicconettiserves on the faculties at Powers Music School, New England Conservatory Expanded Education Department. She lives in Boston (Roslindale) with her husband, Andrew Goodrich, a music education professor at Boston University, and their West Highland white terrier, Marcello. Ms. Cicconettiis a tennis enthusiast and player and competes in various tennis leagues throughout the Boston metro area.
